About Us

Inclusive and Diverse Communities Incorporated (IDC) has a longstanding commitment to social justice principles, advocating for fair and equal opportunities for all.  With expertise developed since the 1980s, IDC has been empowering people from marginalised backgrounds.

Leadership in Aged Care and Child Services

Provides sector leadership and support initiatives for mainstream and CaLD aged care services and CaLD child and family services, as well as direct services to children, parents/carers, older people, and support persons. Delivers responsive and inclusive sector support development activities, and the innovative Multicultural Aged Care Referral Services (MARS).

Zero Barriers Project: Promoting Inclusion

Delivers the Zero Barriers (ZB) project to raise awareness among businesses and organisations on access and inclusion, in collaboration with councils, ZB advisors (people with lived experience of disability), and Access Link Consulting (pro-bono collaborator)

Advocacy for Systemic Change

Partakes in consultations for research purposes and to advocate for systemic changes such as the Productivity Commission's Inquiry into Caring for Older Australians and United Voices Diverse Perspectives- Shaping an Inclusive Anti-Racism Framework through Multicultural LGBTQ+ Community Consultation

Inclusive Relationships with Marginalised Communities

Collaborates with local partners across NSW and nation-wide, particularly Southwest and Western Sydney- collaborators include service providers, councils and other government agencies, funding and peak bodies, educational institutions, and local businesses
